Yamamoto was exceptional on Friday; throwing everything for strikes and showing electric movement on his offerings. The right-hander has allowed just one run over his last two outings, and his ERA is a sparkling 1.23 on the campaign. Yamamoto has pitched like an ace thus far in 2025, and he’ll get a terrible Rockies’ lineup Wednesday.

It was 11-0 until; the ninth, when the Dodgers tried to save a little wear on their pitchers by putting in Enrique Hernández for the final inning. Hernández, though, gave up a grand slam and five runs while getting two outs, and Anthony Banda ended up finishing the game. Ohtani has 25 homers this year, leaving him one behind Aaron Judge and Cal Raleigh for the MLB lead. He’s up to 250 career homers in 929 games since debuting in 2018.

Kershaw allowed three hits, walked one and struck out five in his best outing since 2023. He’s 2-0 with a 3.25 ERA in his six starts this year, and he’s set to face the Nationals next time out.

That outing will come at some point next week. Sheehan is recovering from Tommy John surgery, but struck out seven over 3 1/3 innings in his most recent rehab start, and the Dodgers liked enough of what they saw to believe he can contribute to the rotation. Sheehan has some significant upside in his right arm, but fantasy managers will want to see the matchup before considering using the right-hander. It’s possible that outing could come against the Padres, and it might be best to take a wait-and-see approach if that’s the case.
