The 26-year-old center averaged 12.3 points per game, 6.8 rebounds per game and 1.8 blocks per game this past year. Gafford saw an increase in production in an 11-game stretch where the team was without Dereck Lively II. The Mavericks continue to value size as they keep Gafford to go along with Lively II, Anthony Davis and presumed No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg in the frontcourt.

Irving is now tied to Dallas through the 2027-28 season. He also has security as he rehabs from the left ACL tear that he suffered in March. The Mavericks have a talented roster that will center around Irving, Anthony Davis and the expect No. 1 overall pick in Cooper Flagg, which will help them be one of the best teams in the West over the next few seasons. Reports from April indicated that Irving could return by January, which would give this core plenty of time to mesh ahead of the postseason.

Powell had until Tuesday to decide whether or not he would activate his player option for the 2025-26 season. Per Stein’s report, the veteran center had made his decision a few days early, deciding to pick up the option worth $4 million. Powell appeared in 55 games this season but only averaged 10.0 minutes, his lowest mark since the 2014-15 season. He did not impact fantasy basketball this season, and that’s highly unlikely to change in 2025-26.

Olynyk will head to Washington in a deal involving CJ McCollum, Jordan Poole, Saddiq Bey and picks. Washington’s frontcourt features Bilal Coulibaly and Alex Sarr, two players who the Wizards will surely prioritize developing in 2025-26. That means Olynyk could see rotational minutes off the bench or even be re-routed before the season starts. No matter what uniform he wears next season, Olynyk should have deep-league value thanks to his ability to contribute across multiple categories.

The recovery timetable for this procedure is three-to-four months, so Olynyk should be back before training camp. Olynyk was in and out of the lineup just before the end of the regular season, though that can at least partially be attributed to New Orleans looking to improve its lottery odds. Olynyk is entering the final season of a two-year deal that he initially signed with the Raptors.

Okongwu was much better against Miami than he was against Orlando, but it wasn’t enough to change the result for the Hawks. Still, it was an excellent night in the box score for Okongwu, and it should have fantasy managers feeling encouraged ahead of next season. He took over as the Hawks’ starting center in January and averaged 15.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.9 blocks and 0.9 triples after taking the job. He should remain in a starting role next season, which makes him an attractive option in category formats. He should be taken in the top-50 in drafts.
