The pick swap is reportedly in 2031, while the other second rounder is a 2029 pick from Portland, per HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto. Huff could be in line to play a significant role for the Pacers next season after Myles Turner departed for Milwaukee in free agency. Indiana has a few months to figure out their center rotation, but as of now, Huff could end up as an intriguing late-round swing.

Wiseman tore his Achilles in the season-opener with Indiana, and he was dealt to and subsequently waived by Toronto in February. With Myles Turner now a Buck, Indiana has made moves to address its center depth. Wiseman should compete for backup minutes in the frontcourt, but he’s far off the fantasy radar for now.

A week removed from trading their first-round pick (23rd overall) to New Orleans, the Pacers have reportedly acquired a second-round pick from San Antonio. While this transaction gets Indiana back onto the 2025 draft board, as they did not have a second-round pick, it will not significantly impact the team’s economics in the short term. The pick can be used to potentially add depth in the aftermath of Tyrese Haliburton’s Achilles injury. However, this move hard caps Indiana at the second apron, which will be something to watch when free agency begins.

As feared, Haliburton’s injury is severe, and it will likely cost him all of next season. It’s a brutal development for the emerging superstar, especially after the magical playoff run he led. In Hali’s absence, T.J. McConnell could see a big uptick in playing time and usage, while Ben Sheppard could see more time off the bench, and Andrew Nembhard could take on more responsibility as a facilitator.

Needing to upgrade their backup center situation, the Nuggets acquired Valančiūnas from the Kings in exchange for Dario Šarić. However, on Thursday, it was reported by BasketNews that the veteran center was considering a move to Europe to play for Greek power Panathinaikos. Valančiūnas is under contract with the Nuggets, so he would require a buyout to move to Greece. According to Charania, the Nuggets view JV as a key component for next season, so he’ll have to fulfill the requirements of his contract. Playing behind Nikola Jokić limits Valančiūnas’ fantasy value, but he’ll have “real” value to a team that hopes to contend for a championship.

It wasn’t a perfect performance from Filipowski, but he certainly was a beast on the offensive end, which helped Utah secure the win to kick off the Salt Lake City Summer League for the home team. He has a lot to clean up on the defensive end, but the offensive production should be there for the rest of the summer and into next season.

Ware came on strong during the second half of his rookie year in Miami after being drafted 15th overall in 2024. He became a full-time starter, which is a role he should maintain heading into next season. Still, he was out there to kick off Summer League, though it’s unclear how many games he’ll end up playing in. He missed all four of his three-point attempts but was aggressive as a scoring option in this game. Of course, the defensive production was great to see after he averaged 1.1 blocks per game during his rookie season.
