A few days after it was reported that Naz Reid agreed to a new deal with the Timberwolves, Randle has reportedly done the same. His new deal will include a player option for the 2027-28 season. While there were some early hiccups, Randle had a productive debut season in Minnesota. In 69 games, he averaged 18.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.6 three-pointers in 32.3 minutes. The returns of Randle and Reid will likely mean free agent guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker heads elsewhere, as other teams can offer him more than the Timberwolves can. Detroit is one team rumored to be highly interested in signing Alexander-Walker.

Fresh off their second consecutive trip to the Western Conference Finals, the Timberwolves hope to keep most of their core together for another run. Reid, who opted out of the final year of his current deal, has been a key piece off the bench for Chris Finch’s team, and retaining him would be immense. Finch said earlier this month that he expects Reid and Julius Randle to return to the team next season. Reid staying in Minnesota likely keeps him in the sixth-man role, which limits his fantasy ceiling. However, he’s still worth selecting in all league drafts.

Anderson played a limited role between the Warriors and Heat last season, and Love’s role was even more limited. Love is headed into his 18th season and could be moved again before the season starts. Anderson doesn’t fit with Utah’s current timeline either, so he could be on the move too. If either player remains with the Jazz, they will likely be culture veterans rather than real threats for playing time.

Sunday was deadline day for Oubre, who has decided to exercise his player option worth $8.4 million. The veteran wing has provided solid value in both seasons with the 76ers, most recently averaging 15.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 three-pointers per game in 2024-25. While Oubre did offer solid fantasy value last season, the 76ers stand to be deeper on the perimeter next season with Jared McCain (knee) being healthy and lottery pick VJ Edgecombe joining the team. Also, the 76ers are expected to do whatever they can to re-sign Quentin Grimes once he hits restricted free agency on Monday.

Okoro has been a solid wing defender for Cleveland since they drafted him with the No. 5 pick in 2020. Now, he’ll get a fresh start in Chicago, where he’ll join a crowded wing rotation. Kevin Huerter was the starting small forward at the end of last season, and the Bulls just added Noa Essengue in the draft. Okoro will likely be a reserve wing that helps out the defense, but he’s never been much of a contributor in fantasy basketball.
