After missing Friday’s game against the Suns, Johnson was available for San Antonio’s season finale. He ended up being their leading scorer off the bench to help them end the year on a high note. Johnson’s season was disappointing as his points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers and minutes all took a big hit. He averaged just 12.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 triples in a 23.9 minutes per game, though he was available for 77 games. He may not be a great fantasy option, but Johnson is a really strong reserve scorer for a Spurs team that should make a return to the postseason next year.

Fox underwent season-ending surgery on his left pinkie finger in mid-March, about six weeks after being traded to the Spurs by Sacramento. He recently told Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle that he’s been cleared to resume on-court activities, which have included some 5-on-5 play. Also, Fox hopes to ink a contract extension with the Spurs this offseason. With one year remaining on his current deal, the point guard will be eligible for a four-year extension worth up to $229 million on August 3.

Though he didn’t have an efficient shooting performance, Castle was able to close out his rookie season on a high note. This was his eighth-straight game with at least five assists, and he has scored at least 20 points in four of those games. Castle will likely be named the Rookie of the Year for this season, and he has a bright future ahead of him. However, while he will have a good chance to start for the Spurs next season, he may not make the same statistical impact with the rest of the team healthy.

Anunoby was impactful on both ends of the floor Sunday night, but the shot volume may have been a bit low for a player making nearly 67 percent of his attempts. The Knicks wing had four defensive contributions in Game 3, including an emphatic block of an Aaron Nesmith jumper with 3:39 remaining in the fourth quarter and New York leading by four. Sunday’s victory was the latest example of Anunoby not needing to be an offensive focal point to impact the action. He’ll look to do the same in Game 4 on Tuesday.

Anunoby recorded a complete stat line in Friday’s series clincher, emblematic of his impact on both ends of the floor. The four “stocks” were the most he’s recorded in a game since Game 4, when the Knicks wing tallied four steals and one blocked shot. Offensively, Anunoby’s point total was his highest since Game 1, when he scored 29 in the Knicks’ comeback victory. Advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000, New York will host Indiana in Game 1 on Wednesday.

It has been a hit-or-miss series for Anunoby. He had 29 points in Game 1 and 20 points in Game 4. He scored a total of 13 points in Games 2, 3 and 5. Which Anunoby shows up in Game 6 could be critical for New York’s chances of closing this series out at home. Of course, they’d much prefer to end things in New York than to have to travel back to Boston for Game 7. Simply put, Anunoby is going to have to be much better on Friday.
