Porzingis is available after being a late scratch for Tuesday’s win in Toronto. Hauser was one of the replacements in the starting lineup, as the Celtics were also without Jrue Holiday and Al Horford. With Jaylen Brown (leg) ruled out for Wednesday, Hauser will play additional minutes despite being a reserve. If so, he would be worth streaming in deep leagues.

Brown finished the season with a partial tear in his right meniscus, and after much consultation, he’ll undergo surgery. With Jayson Tatum (Achilles) set to miss an extended part of the upcoming campaign, Brown’s availability carries some extra weight.

The cost of contending for championships has gotten steeper, especially with the salary cap rules instituted in recent years. For the Celtics, the Achilles tendon rupture suffered by Jayson Tatum may impact how the front office approaches this offseason. If the team decides that a group that won’t have Tatum for most of the season can’t be a factor in the East, the decision could be made to shed salary. And Hauser, whose four-year, $45 million extension goes into effect next season, may be a prime candidate to be moved. “Hauser, to me, is the most likely candidate to go, just because you have (Baylor) Scheierman there to effectively fill his role,” Mannix said. “I think they’d love to find a home for Jrue Holiday, just because of the contract and where they are as a team. (Kristaps) Porzingis, who knows? I don’t think they want to take on contracts that go on longer than Porzingis’ deal, but he’s certainly available.” Hauser being traded would make Scheierman worth a look in deep fantasy leagues next season.

While in Boston for the release of his signature sneaker, Brown said that he still has not decided on surgery to repair the partially torn meniscus in his right knee. “l got a lot of doctors I gotta get evaluated with — see the potential for surgery versus no surgery, wait to speak to the [Celtics] organization,” Brown said, according to Celtics Blog. “For now, it’s just rest and recovery. I’m taking a step back from a long season. Mentally, it was a lot of stuff going on.” With Jayson Tatum (Achilles) expected to miss a significant portion of the 2025-26 season, a healthy Brown would be Boston’s first scoring option if management keeps the roster intact.

While Randle did finish Game 5 with a solid stat line, he got off to a slow start on Wednesday, shooting 3-of-6 from the field. As with Anthony Edwards, the Timberwolves needed a far more aggressive Randle to entertain the possibility of extending the series, and he was unable to come through. With the move to Minnesota, many fantasy managers expected Randle to be a solid middle-round player based on his Yahoo! ADP of 62. Unfortunately, he failed to meet expectations, providing eight-round value in eight-cat formats while finishing outside the top-100 in nine-cat. Randle has a player option worth nearly $31 million for the 2025-26 season; he becomes an unrestricted free agent if he does not exercise it.

Randle was benched for the entire fourth quarter of Game 2, but bounced back and was a big part of the Timberwolves getting back in the series in Game 3. The 30-year-old power forward was a scoring machine with 24 points on 15 shots including two made three-pointers. Randle didn’t play most of the fourth quarter in Game 3 either, though it was due to the lopsided score and the fact that the Thunder had already pulled their starters. Despite the Game 3 fourth quarter benching, Randle was back as Robin to Anthony Edwards’ Batman in Game 3.

After an excellent performance in Game 1 on Tuesday, Randle was poor on Thursday. While the rebounds and assists may provide solace, he could not find his groove offensively. Needing a spark, Timberwolves coach Chris Finch decided to go in a different direction, with Randle not playing at all during the fourth quarter. He’ll look to bounce back when the Timberwolves host Game 3 on Saturday night.
