The Heat added Larsson with the 44th pick in 2024, and he ended up playing a role off the bench during his rookie year. It wasn’t a significant role, but he did see the floor at times and started six games late in the year. He led the Heat in scoring on Saturday, and he did most of his work at the free throw line. The 24-year-old will look to take on a larger role in year two with Miami.

The deal also sends John Collins to the Clippers, and a package of Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson and a 2027 second-round pick to the Jazz. Powell averaged a career-best 21.8 points and 3.0 triples per game last season, and he should enjoy a significant role in Miami’s rotation in 2025-26. Powell should push Davion Mitchell and Terry Rozier into smaller roles for Miami in 2025-26.

Ware came on strong during the second half of his rookie year in Miami after being drafted 15th overall in 2024. He became a full-time starter, which is a role he should maintain heading into next season. Still, he was out there to kick off Summer League, though it’s unclear how many games he’ll end up playing in. He missed all four of his three-point attempts but was aggressive as a scoring option in this game. Of course, the defensive production was great to see after he averaged 1.1 blocks per game during his rookie season.

With the Heat losing Duncan Robinson to the Pistons, they received a player from Detroit via sign-and-trade. Fontecchio provided depth off the bench in his first full season with Detroit, averaging 5.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointers in 16.5 minutes per game. While Miami needs shooting in the aftermath of Robinson’s exit, getting Fontecchio won’t be enough. Regarding fantasy basketball, he isn’t a player who should be targeted in fantasy drafts this fall.

Spencer got hot early in this game, knocking down three three-pointers rather quickly. He didn’t maintain that pace, but he was still a threat from deep throughout the night. It was a big night for Spencer after he scored 14 points with five rebounds and five assists on Saturday. He signed a two-year deal to remain with Memphis when free agency opened.

Mitchell dominated against Memphis on Saturday, and while he didn’t shoot the ball that well in this game, he was still able to contribute plenty of value. The 2024 second-round pick has played really well through two games this summer after a strong rookie season. He’ll have a chance to be part of the OKC rotation next season, and it wouldn’t be shocking if he didn’t play many more games this summer.

Topic didn’t enjoy the same shooting efficiency that he did in his Summer League debut, but he was able to get to the free throw line at a decent rate. However, after turning the ball over seven times on Saturday, he was much cleaner as a playmaker against Philadelphia. He had multiple highlight passes and finishes and showcased plenty of upside, even if he missed most of his shot attempts, including all six of his shots from deep. OKC plays the Jazz on Tuesday, and it would be surprising if Topic played in the second leg of the back-to-back.
