NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that “the plan” is for Quenton Nelson to avoid injured reserve after undergoing a procedure to remove cartilage fragments from his knee.

If the Seahawks were to place Nelson on short-term injured reserve, he would be required to miss at least four games. The Seahawks face the Cardinals this week, the Raiders next and then go on bye. Nelson could have a chance to play in Week 12 against the 49ers. His availability that week will likely just come down to how the recovery is going. His loss is unfortunate.
