Rivers (6’6/319) spent five years shuttling between left tackle and left guard for the Hurricanes, recording a PFF pass block grade of 73+ in each of his three seasons as a starter. He only allowed one sack in eight contests with a 98.5% pass block efficiency rate as Cam Ward’s blindside protector. While his testing revealed a somewhat underwhelming 6.61 RAS, there’s no teaching his raptor-like 34 7/8th” arms. Rivers has the requisite heft to stall out bull rushes and drop anchor when challenged with power. However, he isn’t particularly nimble with his footwork and lacks the fluidity to play on the outside at the NFL level. He has a profile similar to BC lineman Ben Petrula.
