Felton (6â5/213) is one of the bigger receivers in the draft, and proved to be a decent size/speed prospect when he churned out a 4.5s 40-yard dash at this yearâs scouting combine to generate an 8.30 RAS. Felton spent his first four years of his college career at Norfolk State and transferred to Virginia Tech for the 2023 season. An unimpressive 667 receiving yards in his first year with the Hokies proved to be enough to lead the team, as he finished the year with a 38-667-8 line. Then, in 2024, his production plummeted significantly, although poor quarterback play can be largely blamed for this, as the Hokies averaged just 189.4 passing yards per game and threw only 15 touchdowns on 339 passes. Felton played in 12 games last season, but caught just 32 passes for 360 yards and two touchdowns and saw his routes drop from 334 in 2023 to 259 in 2024, which ranked as the fourth-most on his team. A brutal 12.8 percent drop rate follows him to the pros, and Feltonâs 43.3 percent contested catch rate for his career also leaves a lot to be desired. With that in mind, the size and speed are at least enticing and could make for a fun watch in training camp as he battles for a spot on a 53-man roster. He needs to clean up the drops and improve his route running if he hopes to turn the corner, but his intangibles could earn him a longer look on the practice squad.
