Khalil Shakir (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.

The Bills won’t release their first injury report until Thursday, so we’ll see if Shakir’s status looks any different then. Head coach Sean McDermott said on Monday that the team is planning to take things day-by-day with Shakir, who suffered his ankle injury in Week 4 against the Ravens. It’s an encouraging sign for his return that the team didn’t place him on injured reserve, but it’s possible he still misses another game or two if he’s not closer to 100 percent.
