Nate Scheelhaase

KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson reports Rams passing game specialist Nate Scheelhaase has “emerged as a leading candidate” for the Jaguars’ offensive coordinator vacancy.

Scheelhaase interviewed with the Jaguars on Wednesday. Wilson added that “multiple NFL sources” believe the Jaguars will hire Scheelhaase in the coming days. The 34-year-old offensive assistant/passing game specialist last served as an offensive coordinator for Iowa State during the 2023 season. That season, his offense ranked 72nd in the nation in points per game (26.2) and 81st in yards per game (364.9). After spending six seasons at Iowa State, Scheelhaase joined the Rams last offseason but could again be on the move in the coming days with the Jaguars reportedly closing in on an offer.
