A multiple-sport athlete and high school quarterback, Williams was recruited to TCU as a wide receiver but never fully made the transition. Instead, he got the “weapon” treatment as a senior, catching 60 passes while earning an additional 51 carries. He totaled 611 receiving yards and 322 rushing yards while scoring a dozen touchdowns, split evenly between rushing and receiving. At 6’4/222, Williams has the build of someone who could play running back at the next level and NFL teams had him do the running back drills at the combine. He ran a 4.48 40-yard dash, an outstanding time for a player of his size. Williams is dynamic with the ball in his hands, but his future team will need a plan to make that happen with any regularity. He will likely start off his career returning kicks while getting a few schemed touches per game.
