Steelers signed S DeShon Elliott to a two-year, $12.5 million extension.

The deal includes $9.21 million in guarantees and appears to be one of the better safety contracts in the league considering the modest annual value. Elliott is now tied to the Steelers through the 2027 season and is coming off a career year, having amassed 108 combined tackles in his first year with the franchise in 2024. Perhaps the deal serves as a springboard for the looming contract negotiations with star linebacker T.J. Watt, who is set to play the 2025 season in the final year of his four-year mega-contract.
