Jakob Johnson

Texans signed FB Jakob Johnson, formerly of the Giants, to a one-year contract.

The former Patriots fullback is reunited with Texans OC Nick Caley in Houston. Johnson has been a reliable pass-blocking back for most of his career, falling below a 72.1 PFF pass block grade just once in six seasons. The run blocking has been more hit-and-miss. Johnson played just 12 snaps for the Giants last season and has not played more than 300 snaps since 2022.
