Andrews, somewhat disgustingly, led the team in receiving with a modest 19 yards on a night undrafted free agent rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano threw for only 60 yards in his first career start. It remains difficult to start the veteran tight end, who has made more mental mistakes this season than he has receptions.
Andrews has been playing through the hand injury for a few weeks without any issues. He logged three full practices this week. With Joe Fagnano making his first career start for the Ravens tomorrow, we wouldn’t advise playing any Ravens outside of Derrick Henry and Zay Flowers this week.
That keeps the veteran tight end on track to suit up in Week 9 against the Jaguars on Thursday Night Football. Andrews has struggled to return usable fantasy weeks throughout his age-31 season, with the team now down to their third, potentially fourth, quarterback for Thursday’s game. he can safely be left on fantasy benches on the short week.
It was another day at the office for Andrews, who has now gone six straight games with 28 or fewer receiving yards. Any hope that he might see a slight increase in production with Lamar Jackson back under center can be put aside after Jackson suffered a severe injury to his throwing hand that will require surgery and force him to go on injured reserve. Andrews isn’t on the fantasy radar heading into Week 9 against the Jaguars.
It was business as usual for Andrews, who can be consistently relied on for a solid 20-yard game. Andrews has gone for 28 or fewer yards in five straight games and will not be on the fantasy radar in Week 8 against the Bills.
Andrews ran 11 more routes than rookie tight end Josh Cuevas but was out-targeted by Cuevas 5-to-3. Andrews continues to underwhelm in the passing game and has now failed to surpass 28 yards in four straight games. He can be left on waivers ahead of Week 7’s game against the Bengals.
Andrews dropped a would-be touchdown on the team’s opening possession on a ball that went through his hands in the end zone. He would then fumble on the following possession, which Jessie Bates returned for a touchdown to force the Ravens into catch-up mode for the remainder of the game. Luckily for him, late heroics from Tyler Huntley and Derrick Henry had the team escaping with a victory. Andrews has not looked great to start the 2026 season, having not eclipsed 50 yards through five games. He’ll remain a shaky fantasy start in Week 6 when the Ravens host the Browns.
Andrews practiced in full with the hand injury last week before posting a 5/27/1 receiving line. He should be good to go again this week, though he is a low-end TE1, with backup QB Tyler Huntley likely starting in Week 5.
Andrews continues to see most of his work come in the short area of the field. He’s gone for less than 30 yards in each of his last two games, but did manage to haul in a three-yard score in the second quarter of Sunday’s win for his first touchdown of 2026. Lamar Jackson also missed Andrews in the end zone on a high throw earlier in the game, but he remains a very touchdown-dependent option as far as fantasy is concerned. He’s a boom-or-bust play in Week 5 against the Falcons.
The Ravens seemingly forgot about Andrews when they first posted their injury report, only noting his injury and status in a post 40 minutes after the initial run. In their defense, Andrews has been pretty forgettable this year, catching 13 passes for 122 scoreless yards. The hand injury shouldn’t be an issue this week, but he’s still stuck in the TE2 ranks versus Tennessee.
Andrews missed part of this game with a hand injury but returned to catch two passes for a total of 15 yards in the second half. Andrews has yet to find the end zone this season and hasn’t gone for more than 49 yards in a game. There’s not much for fantasy managers to rely on here heading into next week’s game against the Titans.
Andrews returned to the field midway through the quarter. He saw three targets before leaving the game in the first half, but it seems unlikely he will see many more targets at this point. The Ravens have attempted just 11 passes through nearly three full quarters of play.
We’re not quite sure what happened here, but Andrews was not on the field for the Ravens’ fifth drive of the game, with the team announcing soon after that he would be questionable to return. The veteran tight end caught 1-of-3 targets for nine yards before exiting.
Andrews was targeted four times on the Ravens’ first four possessions, with his biggest play coming on a 10-yard reception to start a drive that ended with a Derrick Henry touchdown. Andrews caught a 14-yard reception on the Ravens’ final drive of the game as they tried to mount a comeback, but the drive ended on an interception by Lamar Jackson three plays later. Andrews has caught 10 passes for 98 scoreless yards on 13 targets through his first two games. It’s decent production for a tight end, but he continues to look like a shell of the player he once was. He’ll be a boom-or-bust TE2 in Week 3 against the Cowboys.
While Zay Flowers dominated in the first half for the Ravens, Andrews was nowhere to be found. The veteran tight end caught just one of three targets for 17 yards in the first half but caught all three targets he saw in the second half, picking up 32 yards. Andrews led all Ravens tight ends with 23 routes run, per TruMedia, and was targeted on 26.1 percent of his routes. If Flowers (hamstring) is unable to go in Week 2 against the Saints, Andrews would see a slight bump in his fantasy stock. For now, we’ll treat him as a mid TE2.
Ravens team reporter Ryan Mink adds that although TE Mark Andrews posted a career-low 422 receiving yards last season, “the Ravens see a rebound in 2026.” DeCosta’s comments could indicate otherwise, though the team lost TEs Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar in free agency. Mink also notes that the Ravens have picked two tight ends in the same draft four times in franchise history: 2022, 2018, 2015 and 2010. DeCosta has been with the Ravens for his whole career, dating back to 1996, and the strategy has worked well for the organization. Mink believes replacing Likely with a receiving tight end could be viewed as a need in the short term. He lists 10 potential draftees, including Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq, Ohio State TE Max Klare, Vanderbilt TE Eli Stowers, Baylor TE Michael Trigg and NC State TE Justin Joly.
Andrews didn’t have a role in the Ravens’ passing game; something that was said often in 2025 as he finished with a career-low 46 catches to go with five touchdowns. The 30-year-old signed a contract extension in the middle of the year, so he’ll obviously be back barring something unforeseeable with Baltimore in 2026. The positional value helps, but it’s more likely than not that Andrews won’t be anything close to an elite option in the coming campaigns.
Andrews’ biggest play was drawing the Packers offsides while lining up under center on a fourth-and-inches play late in the contest. The Ravens only threw the ball for 107 yards in this contest, so there wasn’t much chance for Andrews, Isaiah Likely (3/27) or any of the Baltimore receivers in this one. He’ll be back in Week 18 against the Steelers in a game that’s meaning will be determined by what happens in Week 17 between Pittsburgh and the Browns.
The Ravens are never a high pass volume offense, but things got worse in this one following the departure of starting quarterback Lamar Jackson in the second quarter. The team shifted to a heavier emphasis on Derrick Henry in the second half, which appeared to be working until they allowed the Patriots to overcome an 11-point fourth quarter deficit to steal the win. Now at the tail end of his career, Andrews rarely returns fantasy utility if he is held out of the end zone.
The Ravens’ attempted only 12 passes on the day, with three of those going in Andrews’ direction. Andrews’ biggest gain came on a 14-yard pickup inside of the two minute warning in the first half, and helped set the offense up for a 28-yard touchdown pass to Zay Flowers. Andrews has caught four or fewer passes in his last 10 games and won’t be anything more than a TE2 in Week 16 against the Patriots.
