Bo Nix

Bo Nix

DENQB • #10

Bo Nix completed 25-of-36 passes for 216 yards in the Broncos’ 26-7, Week 3 win over the Bucs, adding nine carries for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Nix has still yet to throw for a touchdown, but this was by far his best performance as a passer. He went 4-of-4 for 70 yards on the opening drive, and helped stake the Broncos to a 20-7 halftime lead. Things were not as impressive after the opening march — where Nix flashed his easy quarterback speed on a rollout rushing touchdown — but the rookie avoided mistakes and finally managed to get Courtland Sutton involved. He had Sutton for a score, but the veteran wideout couldn’t quite get both feet down. Nix was lucky to have a fumble overturned on review, but this was actually something to build on. The biggest problem remains the Broncos’ overall lack of offensive talent, especially in the backfield. Nix won’t be on the streaming radar for a super tough Week 4 road assignment against the Jets.
