Brian Thomas Jr. caught 3-of-6 targets for 27 yards in the Jaguars’ Week 6 loss to the Bears.

Thomas could have saved his otherwise quiet day with a touchdown late in the game. Trevor Lawrence threw to him in the end zone but the pass clanged off BTJ’s hands for an incompletion. Gabe Davis would score a few plays later. Thomas broke out with 122 yards and a touchdown in Week 5 and entered this game with a touchdown in back-to-back games. The return of Evan Engram cut his ascent short as Engram easily led the team with 10 targets. Thomas’s six looks were good for a 17 percent target share. The first-round rookie is still on an elite trajectory, but he may be stuck in the WR2 ranks until he cements himself as the top target in Jacksonville. He will be ranked as such for his Week 7 matchup with England.
