Carson Steele rushed seven times for 24 yards with a lost fumble in the Chiefs’ Week 2 win over the Bengals.

Steele was clearly the backup tailback to Isiah Pacheco during Sunday’s tilt, as Samaje Perine touched the ball just one time. That was especially evident even after Steele lost a fumble, as Kansas City still trusted the undrafted rookie with carries late in the contest. Steele is essentially a touchdown-dependent player at this stage, and the question is if he’d have an expanded role if there was to be an injury to Pacheco. He’ll likely see 5-10 carries again in Week 3 against the Falcons.
