Commanders re-signed DT Sheldon Day to a one-year contract.

Day played a bigger role than expected in 2024, appearing in 12 games for the Commanders while finishing fourth among defensive linemen on the team with 272 snaps. Day, an eighth-year vet who has played for six different teams, will have a chance to catch on as a depth piece this offseason after totaling 24 tackles and two tackles for loss last season, but he’s no lock to make the 53-man roster.
