De'Von Achane

De'Von Achane

MIARB • #28

De’Von Achane rushed 22 times for 96 yards in the Dolphins’ Week 2 loss to the Bills, adding seven receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown.

With Raheem Mostert (chest) out and Tua Tagovailoa struggling mightily before departing with a concussion, Achane set a new career high for touches by seven. Supposedly “questionable” with an ankle injury, Achane was the Dolphins’ offensive focal point from the opening whistle. That included playing deep into a game that was essentially over minutes into the second half. Achane ceded just seven combined handles to backups Jeff Wilson and Jaylen Wright. The mammoth workload on short rest with injury is obviously extremely bullish for Achane’s going-forward usage, even if Mostert’s absence is limited to one game. Achane will be an upside RB1 for Week 3 against the Seahawks.
