ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is cooperating with authorities regarding Saturday’s car crash.

Rice’s lawyer released a statement on Monday regarding the six-car pileup over the weekend, saying “On behalf of Rashee Rice, his thoughts are with everyone impacted by the automobile accident on Saturday. Rashee is cooperating with local authorities and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly.” That doesn’t necessarily remove any wrongdoing from the situation, particularly considering the vague wording of the statement. Even so, it now appears as if Rice contacted the Dallas Police after he was wanted in connection with the major car accident Saturday evening. Dash cam footage was released Sunday showing a Corvette and Lamborghini racing on the highway, with the latter losing control, hitting the median, and causing the incident. More to come from the newest car-involved saga.
