Javonte Williams rushed 17 times for 44 yards in the Broncos’ Week 8 win over the Panthers, adding four catches for eight yards.

Williams was given plenty of touches, but didn’t do much with them. His long carry on the day was nine yards, and he wasn’t able to find running room against a not-exactly-dominant Carolina defense. Despite out-carrying Jaleel McLaughlin 17-8, McLaughlin had more yards (47) and also added a nine-yard touchdown reception. It still seems likely that Williams will be the RB1 for the Week 9 bout against the Ravens.
