Marquez-Valdes Scantling was taken to the injury tent in the Bills’ preseason Week 2 game against the Steelers.

Medical personnel initially worked to stabilize Valdes-Scantling’s neck before he was able to sit up and walk off the field under his own power. He was then taken to the blue medical tent for further evaluation. What appeared to be a frightening situation appears to be less extreme than initially thought to be, although we’ll need to wait until the team addresses his injury after the game to know more. Valdes-Scantling had reportedly been falling down the depth chart at wide receiver in Buffalo prior to the injury.
