New York Daily News’ Pat Leonard writes that “barring an unexpected setback” Tyrone Tracy Jr. is expected to be cleared from concussion protocol ahead of Week 9.

The Commanders have played some scrappy defense of late, but Tracy Jr. has looked so good of late that he’d still have RB2 appeal against them. Tracy jr. is “progressing again today,” per Leonard. The rookie back has taken hold of the Giants backfield and has a very inviting mid-season fantasy slate with games against Carolina, Dallas, Tampa, and New Orleans in his next four ahead. Brian Daboll said Tracy Jr. will visit a neurologist for final clearance after today’s practice.
