NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Marshawn Kneeland suffered a partially torn meniscus in the Cowboys’ Week 5 win over the Steelers.

Kneeland avoided the worst after many feared the rookie pass rusher may have been dealt a season-ending knee injury in Sunday’s victory. While we don’t yet know how long he’ll be out, Kneeland is expected to have his meniscus trimmed on Tuesday, and will return later in the season. We’ll likely learn more about the length of his absence this week.
