NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Cowboys requested an interview with Eagles OC Kellen Moore for their head coaching vacancy.

Moore was let go by the Cowboys at the end of the 2022 season after being accused of wanting “to light the scoreboard up” a bit too much. The 35-year-old coordinator spent 2023 with the Chargers but was ousted at the end of the season after the firing of former head coach Brandon Staley. In his lone season with the Eagles, Moore’s offense has ranked seventh in points scored and eighth in total yards. The Eagles ranked last in the league in pass attempts, but eighth in EPA per dropback and 14th in dropback success rate. Moore’s rushing attack, which was anchored by Saquon Barkley and his 2,005 rushing yards was elite in nearly every way, but that doesn’t come as much of a surprise after Barkley enjoyed a healthy 2024 campaign while having a supporting cast to take some of the pressure off of him. Moore’s familiarity with Dallas will make him a popular candidate to replace McCarthy, but he’ll have to compete with other popular candidates along the way if he hopes to land the role.
