Decamerion Richardson

Raiders selected Mississippi State CB Decamerion Richardson with the No. 112 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

A two-year starter at Mississippi State, Richardson is a tall, long athlete who posted an elite 40-yard dash time of 4.34 seconds. He has a strong track background, setting the 100-meter-dash record back when he was in high school. That top-end speed allows him to stay with most receivers and also make up ground if he gets beat early in a route. He’s also an outstanding run defender, with the mentality to finish a play and the technique to rarely miss tackles. He does struggle to find the football downfield with below-average skills to go up and make big plays when the ball is in the air. He can also play too handsy or physical at times, which could draw flags, but his athleticism makes him an intriguing pick at this part of the draft.
