Jerome Baker

Seahawks agreed to terms with LB Jerome Baker, formerly of the Dolphins, on a one-year, $7 million contract.

Baker was released by the Dolphins earlier this month in a move that saved them roughly $9.8 million in cap space. Baker totaled 78 tackles, two TFLs, and 1.5 sacks for the Dolphins in 13 games last season while also adding two interceptions. The six-year vet saw his season cut short due to a wrist injury, which came after a knee injury suffered in Week 13 placed him on injured reserve. Baker, 27, now gets a chance to help lead a defense under first-year head coach Mike Macdonald, who fielded top defensive units during his two seasons as the Ravens defensive coordinator.
