The NFL will not ban “tush push” plays for the 2024 season.

It had been trending this way all offseason, but NFLPA executive Troy Vincent confirmed the news on Thursday. The reasoning is apparently that the Eagles are good at it and no one else much is, so it’s not the menace it’s made out to be on social media and scream-shout daytime talk shows. The real question is if the Eagles will even maintain it as a staple, as C Jason Kelce has ridden off into the retirement sunset. It’s also fair to wonder if Philly won’t want Jalen Hurts taking as many hits after he banged his knee in 2023. Regardless, the option will remain on the table, and it will undoubtedly remain in the Eagles’ arsenal in some capacity.
