WR Alec Pierce caught 2-of-2 targets for 31 yards in the Colts’ preseason game against the Bengals.

Pierce again ran as the No. 2 wide receiver, forcing one missed tackle while generating an explosive, 15-plus-yard pass play. He played all but one snap lined up on the perimeter and averaged a first-team, WR corps-best, 2.21 yards per route run. It was a decent preseason finale showing but second-round rookie WR Adonai Mitchell could cause problems for him.
