The 26-year-old will add depth to the Angels’ bench with Mike Trout (knee) landing on the injured list on Friday. Kavadas was off to a decent start at Triple-A Salt Lake, slashing .248/.376/.450 with five homers and 20 RBI in his first 29 games. He’s unlikely to see enough playing time to warrant consideration for fantasy purposes.

Trout has already begun hitting, which is obviously a positive sign. The 33-year-old doesn’t have a timetable for a return, and it seems likely that he’ll need at least a week or two more before he’s ready to hit in the middle of the Angels’ lineup.

Soler was scratched from the lineup Friday, and he’ll miss at least one more game. The hope is for Soler to return for the finale against Baltimore on Sunday, but no guarantees. Matthew Lugo is in left field with Taylor Ward the designated hitter.

A very Kyle Hendricks-like start from, well, Kyle Hendricks. He was able to strike out five, but he didn’t fool Baltimore hitters for most of the contest and gave up all three runs in the first two innings. It could have been worse, but it’s pretty clear there won’t be too many starts like the 7 2/3 innings of one-run baseball like he had the last time out against the Tigers. He shouldn’t be in fantasy lineups Wednesday for his scheduled bout against the Padres.

Dalbec finds a new home after going 4-for-18 during a seven-game stint earlier this season with the White Sox. The 29-year-old all-or-nothing slugger will head to Triple-A Nashville as extra depth.

Bauers jumped on a 1-2 curveball from Hayden Wesneski and clobbered a 416-foot (106.2 mph EV) two-run blast in the opening inning that increased the Brewers’ lead to 4-0. It would prove to be the difference in the ballgame. The versatile 29-year-old finished the day 1-for-2 and is now hitting .261/.358/.500 with three homers and 11 RBI on the season.

Bloss will undergo further evaluation and imaging to determine the extent of the issue and won’t make his next start at Triple-A Buffalo. There should be an update on his status at some point in the coming days. The 23-year-old righty made three starts last year for the Astros before being shipped to the Blue Jays last July at the trade deadline as part of the Yusei Kikuchi deal.
