Sandlin, out since Apr. 20 with a lat strain, was making his first Triple-A appearance after allowing two runs — one earned — over 2 1/3 innings in two outings in Rookie ball. That’s a three-game sweep for the Jays in St. Louis. After getting a rare day off Tuesday, Guerrero responded with four hard-hit balls today. The best of those was a 111-mph liner to center, but that was hit right at Victor Scott Jr., forcing Guerrero to settle for two hits.

Walker started in right field, but he got to play only three innings there before the game was delayed and then suspended due to rain. He’ll presumably play for Memphis again tonight, but it should be a rather short rehab assignment for Walker, who has been on the IL since May 31 with wrist inflammation.
