Montes De Oca was with Arizona over the weekend but didn’t pitch. He was briefly sent back to Triple-A but then recalled on Monday when Kendall Graveman went on the IL. He allowed six hits, walked one and struck out five. Rodriguez has been effective in both starts since returning from shoulder inflammation, though not in a way that inspires a ton of confidence. It’s best to leave him in the free agent pool ahead of his next start against the Blue Jays.
