    Coby Mayo

    BAL • PH-3B • #

Coby Mayo is not in the lineup for Wednesday’s showdown against the Twins.

Mayo has gone 0-for-8 with five strikeouts in three games since returning last weekend to the big leagues. The 23-year-old top prospect figures to be ticketed for Triple-A Norfolk once starting third baseman Jordan Westburg (hamstring) is ready to return from the injured list, which could be as early as next week. It’ll be veteran Emmanuel Rivera drawing a start at the hot corner on Wednesday night.

Tyler O’Neill is not in the starting lineup for Saturday’s game against the Angels.

The Orioles just activated O’Neill off the 10-day injured list Friday, and they’ll likely give him a day or two off to make sure his neck injury doesn’t flare up. Heston Kjerstad and Ryan O’Hearn will be the corner outfielders for Saturday’s bout against the Halos.

Jackson Holliday is leading off against the Angels on Saturday.

Holliday has looked the part as of late, and is hitting .384/.417/.682 in his six games in the month of May. Meanwhile, Cedric Mullins has gone just 1-for-26 over his last few contests, so he’ll be bumped down to sixth against the Halos on Saturday. Holliday is an intriguing fantasy option hitting lower because of his skill set, but there’s a lot more to like if he can hit at the top of this lineup.

    Recap

Jackson Holliday doubled while going 2-for-3 in a win Friday for the Orioles over the Angels.

Holliday also drew a walk for a nifty three-reach game, and picked up his second double of the campaign. The 21-year-old has picked up hits in six of his seven games played in May, and since the middle of April, he’s (mostly) looked like the player who was ranked by most as the top prospect in baseball. The future is bright, but this version of Holliday certainly has relevancy in most fantasy leagues.

    Recap

Luis Urías went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Yankees on Saturday.

Urías put the Athletics on the board with a solo homer off Carlos Rodon in the second inning, pulling a line drive just inside the right field foul pole. The 27-year-old infielder has filled in nicely for the injured Zack Gelof, hitting .256/.341/.487 with six homers and ten RBI across 93 plate appearances.

Yoán Moncada went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer against the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Moncada reacclimated himself off the injured list with a three-run blast off Jeff Hoffman in the eighth inning to extend the Angels lead. It was the first home run of the season for the 29-year-old third baseman after he missed nearly a month with a right thumb sprain.

Angels activated INF Yoán Moncada from the 10-day injured list.

Moncada rejoins the Angels’ lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Blue Jays following a nearly one-month absence recovering from a right thumb sprain. The 29-year-old is no longer a mixed league-relevant fantasy contributor at this juncture of his career, but he represents an upgrade for Los Angeles at the hot corner over Tim Anderson.
