Rodriguez is now hitting .360/.442/.547 in 75 at-bats with three home runs, 21 strikeouts, and 11 walks in Triple-A. With Jhonkensy Noel hitting .164/.186/.269 with a 30 percent strikeout rate at the big league level, it’s possible the Guardians could make a swap.

Bibee allowed five hits, walked none and struck out three before coming out. It’s the fourth time this season that he’s allowed one or no runs, but he’s won just one of those games. He’s 3-3 with a 3.80 ERA overall ahead of a date with the Reds in Cincinnati.

Arias has been red-hot at the plate recently, hitting .375 (9-for-24) over his last seven games. The 25-year-old lacks prototypical middle-of-the-order power, but the Guardians are going to give him a shot hitting ahead of José Ramírez, Carlos Santana and Kyle Manzardo, which is undoubtedly a positive for his fantasy value. He’s eligible at multiple positions — second base, shortstop and third base — and is available in the vast majority of fantasy leagues.

It’s a rare opportunity for Noel, who is batting .169 (12-for-71) with two homers and nine RBI across 30 games this season. The 23-year-old boasts immense raw power, but there aren’t a ton of avenues for him to get into Cleveland’s lineup on a regular basis.

Pham was feeling under the weather so Pirates interim manager Don Kelly elected to give rookie Alexander Canario a start in left field. The 37-year-old veteran figures to return to Pittsburgh’s lineup at some point this weekend once he’s feeling better.

Andujar opened the scoring in the ballgame with an RBI knock off of Tyler Mahle in the opening inning. He also singled in the eighth, but wound up stranded at third base. He has been terrific at the dish this season, slashing a healthy .325/.360/.446 with one homer and 11 RBI — though he has been limited to a short-side platoon role following the addition of Nick Kurtz which saps him of most of his value from a fantasy perspective.
