Andujar opened the scoring in the ballgame with an RBI knock off of Tyler Mahle in the opening inning. He also singled in the eighth, but wound up stranded at third base. He has been terrific at the dish this season, slashing a healthy .325/.360/.446 with one homer and 11 RBI — though he has been limited to a short-side platoon role following the addition of Nick Kurtz which saps him of most of his value from a fantasy perspective.

He had faced just one batter — throwing only three pitches in the eighth inning — before exiting. The A’s should have an update on his status on Monday.

He allowed nine hits, walked two and struck out two. The 11 hard-hit balls against Severino ranged from 100.9 mph to 110.0 mph. He dropped to 1-4 with a 4.70 ERA, and his strikeout rate currently stands at just 17.2%. He simply must miss more bats if he’s going to resemble a league-average starter.

Rodriguez is now hitting .360/.442/.547 in 75 at-bats with three home runs, 21 strikeouts, and 11 walks in Triple-A. With Jhonkensy Noel hitting .164/.186/.269 with a 30 percent strikeout rate at the big league level, it’s possible the Guardians could make a swap.
