Siri remained on the ground for several minutes before limping off the field. He’ll presumably head for precautionary X-rays to rule out any fractures. There should be an update on his status shortly. His absence would be problematic for New York since he’s been one of their primary center field options along with Tyrone Taylor.

Nimmo only got his first RBI in the sixth, when he hit a three-run homer. He launched a grand slam the next inning and then a two-run double in the eighth. He got to bat again versus Amed Rosario in the ninth, but Mark Vientos immediately preceded him with a three-run homer, and Nimmo harmlessly grounded out. As a result, Nimmo only tied the Mets record for RBI, which was set by Carlos Delgado against the Yankees in 2008. Nimmo’s previous high was five.

Canning gave up four hits and walked three, but he spread things around well enough to avoid giving up any runs. Although he’s completed six innings just once, Canning has gone 4-1 with a 2.61 ERA in his six starts. He’ll rate as a nice play again Saturday against the Cardinals.

Uréna, making his Mets debut, came into a 12-0 game in the seventh with the idea that he’d finish it, and he was allowed to do so even after giving up five runs in the eighth. It’s the 10th time since the save became an official statistic in 1969 that a pitcher has allowed at least five runs and earned a save. Cooper Criswell did so for Boston in an 18-7 game earlier this year.

Harris broke a 3-3 tie with a two-run double off Ryan Feltner. He’s up to 15 RBI on the season, and he’s now stolen six bases over Atlanta’s first 28 games. Harris hasn’t been great to begin 2025, but the hits are starting to fall again for the 24-year-old. He should be fine.

Gibson, who signed with the Orioles in late March, returns to the majors having posted a 3.75 ERA and a 13/2 K/BB in 12 innings over three minor league outings. He might offer some AL-only value over the rest of the season, but mixed leagues don’t need to bother.

Grisham opened the scoring in the ballgame with a 401-foot (107.7 mph EV) leadoff blast off of Chris Bassitt to start the home half of the first inning. He also walked twice in the ballgame, reaching base safely in three of his four plate appearances. On the season, he’s slashing a robust .298/.385/.684 with seven long balls and 14 RBI. He’s worthy of a look in deeper mixed leagues for as long as he sees consistent playing time with the Bombers.
