The 32-year-old right-hander fell while attempting to make a play at first base during Thursday’s ballgame. The extent of the injury is not yet known — as he’ll undergo an MRI exam on Friday — but he’s going to miss a couple of weeks at a minimum regardless. It’s a tough break for the Mets and for fantasy managers who have been enjoying strong production from Senga this season.

McNeil swatted a homer with two runners on off Mike Soroka in the first inning. The second baseman has been a solid power threat since returning to the New York lineup with seven homers and a .548 slugging percentage. He’s also driven in 22 runs, and hitting behind the quality top of the Mets’ lineup should allow that number to continue to grow — assuming he keeps hitting, of course.

It didn’t appear Díaz was going to be necessary after the Mets took a four-run lead into the ninth, but Ryne Stanek faltered — faltered is an understatement — while giving up three runs without recording an out. Díaz did allow a hit and a walk, but he was able to clean up the mess and pick up his 15th save while lowering his ERA to 2.22. The 31-year-old threw 19 pitches, so it’s possible he won’t be available Friday against the Rays.

Goodman has started the last eight games and 13 of the team’s last 14 contests, so this is just a routine off-day. Braxton Fulford will catch and bat ninth, while Jordan Beck will slide to DH, and Sam Hilliard will enter the lineup in left field and bat second.
