Kopech will work an inning as an opener in his first outing back. The 29-year-old is eligible to come off the 60-day injured list at the end of May, so there’s a decent chance he’ll be ready to help the Los Angeles bullpen for the first time in 2025 right around that timeframe.

Ohtani is now up to 11 homers on the season. This one came in the ninth inning, but it came with the Dodgers trailing by three runs. Still counts. That homer gives him 16 RBI on the season and a .296/.405/.627 slash. Decent.

Yamamoto only allowed two hits that scored runs, which is usually good. Two of those were homers, which is less good. One of those homers was a grand slam, which is bad. The 26-year-old has been shaky over his last two starts, but still owns a glowing 1.80 ERA. These things happen. Yamamoto should bounce back Wednesday at home against the Athletics.

Edman batted against rehabbing right-hander Emmett Sheehan (elbow) during his session. While he’s eligible to return from the injured list on Saturday, it sounds like the Dodgers are going to wait until the beginning of next week to bring him back into the mix. On the season, the versatile 29-year-old is slashing .252/.295/.523 with eight homers, 24 RBI and a pair of stolen bases through his first 30 games.

Guerrero also drew a walk. It gives the first baseman multiple hits in back-to-back games, and it’s the third time in May that he’s reached that mark. That’s helped raise his average from .268 to .295, and the only thing fantasy managers can be disappointed with is his .432 slugging percentage. That number should continue to climb as the season unfolds, but Vladdy Jr. has had some inconsistent seasons when it comes to power production.

Torkelson smacked a two-out RBI single off of Kyle Freeland in the opening inning that extended the Tigers’ early lead to 2-0. He then got the Rockies’ left-hander for a two-out two-run double the following inning that made it a 7-0 ballgame. With his two-hit attack, the 25-year-old slugger is now slashing .241/.348/.541 with 10 homers and 31 RBI on the season.

They had only half as many as the Orioles, but the Twins made their hits count, getting a solo homer from Trevor Larnach in the sixth. They then strung a double and a single after a pair of walks got things going during their three-run eighth inning. France went 6-for-11 in the three games against the Orioles after going hitless in the previous series in Boston. He’s batting .277/.346/.401 with three homers and 21 RBI through 38 games.
