Kemp now has seven home runs on the season and is hitting .313 with a 1.072 OPS. More importantly, he has played games at 2B, 3B, LF, and 1B for Lehigh Valley this season, which means the Phillies could eventually call him up as a super utility player. His primary position is third base, so he could be an option there if Alec Bohm continues to struggle, but Kemp hit 16 home runs and stole 20 bases in the minors last year, so there is some power and speed here if he ever gets a shot.

Turner got the Phillies on the board in the third inning with an RBI single off of Jameson Taillon that plated Bryson Stott. He then strolled to the dish with the bases loaded and one out in the 10th inning, and hit a slow roller to third base that he beat out at first to bring in another run. With his three-hit attack, the 31-year-old infielder is now slashing .262/.345/.330 on the season with just one homer, nine RBI and six stolen bases.

For the season, the 27-year-old second baseman is now hitting .292/.367/.438 with two homers, 14 RBI and five stolen bases.

The 32-year-old right-hander looked sharp in this one, getting Michael Busch on strikes to start the inning and then Dansby Swanson on a fly ball to left field. He then got Nico Hoerner on a comebacker to end the ballgame. He’s still buried on the depth chart for saves at the moment, but it’s nice to see Romano start to figure things out on the mound, throwing 10 of his 13 pitches for strikes on Sunday. He still sports a horrifying 12.19 ERA on the season.

Edman came up big for the Dodgers with a two-run single in the bottom of the 10th that turned a 6-5 deficit into a victory. Edman has now driven in 21 runs in 28 games, and that hit sees him slashing .248/.288/.514 on the young campaign. Edman’s average leaves much to be desire, but he’s made up for it with the power and run production.

McLain snapped an 0-for-21 hitless streak with a seventh-inning single and immediately swiped second base for his fourth theft of the season. The 25-year-old speedster has gotten off to an ice-cold start this season, hitting .162 (12-for-74) with four homers and four steals through 20 games. We’re anticipating he’ll turn things around soon simply because he’s way too talented to continue struggling for much longer.

The triple should have been a single, but Alex Call made a flailing dive at it and watched it roll by him. McNeil’s homer was more impressive, traveling a projected 420 feet to right-center. Barring a correction, that’s the farthest he’s hit a ball since 2019. He topped out at 402 feet last year and 400 feet in 2023.
