Pirates activated RHP Colin Holderman off the 15-day injured list.

Holderman missed right around three weeks with his sprained right knee. The 29-year-old should return to being a mid-to-late inning option for the Pittsburgh bullpen.

Cruz also drew a walk. His single had an exit velocity of 117.6 mph, and he also lined out on a ball he hit 109.8 mph. Cruz’s elite bat speed and long levers help him make as loud of contact as any hitter in baseball, and his impressive wheels have helped him steal 12 bases, as well. Pretty good baseball player.

Seiya Suzuki went 2-for-4 with three RBI against the Phillies on Saturday.

Suzuki was in the lineup on Saturday, batting second as the designated hitter. He drove in three of the team’s four runs on the day, starting with a two-RBI single in the fifth inning. He later drove in a run with his second base hit in the seventh. The 30-year-old outfielder is slashing .292/.361/.552 with six homers and 23 RBI across 108 plate appearances.

Austin Hays went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in a 6-4 win over the Rockies on Saturday.

Hays a big day at the plate in Coors Field, slugging two solo homers off Antonio Senzatela and was intentionally walked in the ninth. The 29-year-old outfielder is off to a tremendous start with his new club, slashing .386/.449/.773 with five homers, 12 runs scored, and a steal over 49 plate appearances.

Shohei Ohtani (elbow) threw a bullpen session before Saturday’s game against the Pirates.

It’s the first bullpen session for Ohtani since he came back from the paternity list. The 30-year-old remains without a timeline for a return to the mound, but he continues to make progress with a great chance to contribute as a hurler over the summer. There’s just no guarantees.
