Laureano hit a solo homer off Simeon Woods Richardson in the third inning. The veteran outfielder also doubled and scored another run in a solid fantasy outing for the 30-year-old. Laureano is only hitting .207 with a .254 on-base percentage, but that comes with a solid .483 slugging mark.

Castillo heads to Triple-A Norfolk as quality extra starting pitching depth for the Orioles, who are struggling to find solutions for the back of their rotation which currently features struggling veterans Charlie Morton and Kyle Gibson. Morton’s return to the rotation went fine for a couple innings, but a three-run homer by Byron Buxton ruined that an inning later. He allowed four hits and a walk, and he fanned two in what was sadly once of his best performances of 2025. Morton is now a remarkable 0-7 on the season with a 9.38 ERA. It’s possible he could start again next week against the Twins, but there’s no guarantee.

Detroit was able to sneak Margot through waivers and keep him in the organization without taking up a 40-man roster spot. They’re going to roll with Javier Báez in center field for now and he’s looked fantastic in his first opportunity at the position. The 30-year-old outfielder will remain stashed at Triple-A Toledo as emergency depth.

Margot has gone 4-for-15 with three strikeouts through five games, starting three of them in the outfield. Since Margot has gone on the IL, Javier Baez has moved to centerfield and is playing pretty well. It’s unclear what Margot’s role would be if/when he returns.

Myers laced a two-run double off of JP Sears in the fourth inning to tie the game at two apiece. Myers has been solid in limited duty this season and has been playing more with Jesus Sanchez sidelined, but he’d likely only have fantasy value if Sanchez were to go on the IL.
