Tellez was in Seattle’s original lineup after X-rays came back negative on his left hand. The first baseman was hit by a pitch on Saturday night. He’ll get some extra time off to rest and recover. It’ll be Donovan Solano taking over at first base during Sunday’s contest.

Arozarena had gone six straight games without an RBI before driving in himself in the second inning today. He’s hitting .208/.359/.406 with eight steals in eight attempts. Batting average figures to remain an issue while he continues to play half of his games in Seattle, but everything else is good.

Contreras obliterated his home run at 110.2 mph and 421 feet. That was a nice welcome to the big leagues moment for Reds’ rookie starter Chase Petty. Overall, Contreras has done well to put an ugly start to the season behind him with an .824 OPS over his last 15 games and is currently riding a 13 game on-base streak. That is the Contreras we know and expected to see this season. It’s good to finally have him back.
