Kayfus went 0-for-4 with an RBI on Saturday in his big-league debut. The power-hitting 23-year-old top prospect figures to split time between first base, DH and right field over the final two months as he breaks into the big leagues. His ability to generate consistent hard contact gives him a chance to hit for both average and power, making him an appealing waiver wire target for fantasy managers heading into the home stretch.

The 23-year-old is now 6-for-16 (.375) in five games at Triple-A with two home runs and three RBI. Kayfus moved up after hitting .364/.475/.591 in 17 games in Double-A. He hit .291/.393/.511 between high-A and Double-A last year. The Guardians might eventually have to give him a look if Carlos Santana’s decline continues.
