Erisbel Arruebarruena went 1-for-3 and blasted a solo home run as Cuba triumphed over Colombia 7-4 in pool play of the World Baseball Classic on Sunday.

The 35-year-old slugger capped off a four-run uprising off of Luis Patiño in the opening inning with his 350-foot (99.5 mph EV) solo shot. Arruebarruena hasn’t played professionally since the 2023 season and hasn’t appeared in a big league contest since 2014, so it’s unlikely that this showcase is going to spur a return.
