Adell gave the Halos an early lead with an RBI single off of Kyle Freeland in the top of the first inning that plated Mike Trout. That would wind up being the extent of their offense in the ballgame however. The 26-year-old slugger also worked a walk in the ballgame. He has had a very productive season at the plate, slashing .237/.297/.490 with 36 homers, 96 RBI and five stolen bases in 549 plate appearances.

Adell’s 36 homers in 521 plate appearances this season are just two fewer than he had in 1,070 major league plate appearances coming into 2025. The Angels still very clearly need a center fielder for next year — Nelson Rada is not the answer just yet — but if they stand pat, they’re looking pretty good between the corners and DH with Adell, Mike Trout and Taylor Ward.

Adell missed each of the team’s last two games due to symptoms of vertigo. He’s feeling much improved on Saturday though and ready to return to action. He’ll start in right field and bat cleanup against Bryan Woo and the Mariners on Saturday evening in Seattle.

It’s the second straight game that Adell has missed while he continues to battle vertigo. It still sounds like the Angels are going to continue to take things day-to-day here and let him play when and if he’s feeling up to it. Chris Taylor will start in his place in right field again on Friday and will bat second against Luis Castillo and the Mariners.

Adell had returned to action on Wednesday and was scheduled to be in Thursday’s lineup but ultimately wasn’t feeling well enough to give it a go. Expect to see him in and out of the lineup in the near future until he’s back to feeling 100 percent. Chris Taylor will move out to right field to cover for him on Thursday with Luis Rengifo entering the lineup to play second base.

Adell missed Tuesday’s game while dealing with the illness. The 26-year-old will be back in action, but fantasy managers should be ready for more absences over the final two-plus weeks as vertigo is often a recurring ailment.

Adell told reporters pregame that he’s still not feeling 100 percent as he continues to deal with vertigo, but he was in the club’s initial lineup. The Angels are going to give him some extra time off to rest and recover instead of pushing him back too quickly. There’s a chance he’s back in the lineup for Wednesday’s series finale against Minnesota.

Adell is apparently feeling well enough to get back in the lineup after sitting out Monday’s series opener with vertigo. The 26-year-old outfielder has been sizzling-hot at the dish since the start of September, batting .407 (11-for-27) with five homers, 12 RBI and one steal in seven games during that span.

It’s not hyperbolic to suggest that Adell has been the hottest hitter in baseball since the calendar flipped to September since he’s batting .407 (11-for-27) with five homers, 12 RBI and one steal in seven games during that span. There should be an update on his status following Monday’s showdown against Minnesota, but fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.

Adell victimized Athletics’ right-hander Luis Severino, ambushing a first-pitch sinker for his 415-foot (107.9 mph EV) two-run shot in the opening inning, giving the Angels an early 2-0 edge. That would be Adell’s only hit in the contest, but it played a critical role in the victory. For the season, the 26-year-old slugger is now hitting .243/.303/.507 with a career-high 35 homers and 94 RBI.

Adell capped his three-hit night with an eighth-inning solo homer against journeyman reliever Scott McGough, but the Angels were already down big — trailing by nearly two touchdowns at the time. The 26-year-old former top prospect remains a streaky, strikeout-prone slugger, but he’s made real strides this season and now profiles as a surefire top-25 fantasy outfielder heading into 2026.

Adell was literally the entire Angels’ offense in this one. His sixth inning, three-run homer gave them their first lead and an infield single in the eight wound up bringing home the go-ahead run. He’s now up to 33 long balls on the season and has gone deep in three straight games. The only outfielders with more home runs than him are Aaron Judge and Juan Soto in what’s been a true breakout season for the former top prospect.

Adell transformed a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 advantage with his gargantuan 454-foot (110.8 mph EV) two-out, two-run blast in the sixth inning. The 26-year-old outfielder also singled and doubled in the ballgame, finishing the night 3-for-4. He’s having a very strong season in the middle of the Angels’ lineup, slashing .240/.300/.496 with 32 homers, 86 RBI and four stolen bases.

Adell is only slashing .235/.296/.484 on the season, but he has 31 home runs and 84 RBIs on the season. There remain some swing-and-miss issues for the former top prospect in baseball, but if Adell can become reliable for this type of power over the next few seasons, he will remain fantasy viable in all formats.

Adell’s emergence as a serious power threat is probably the best thing that has happened for the Angels this season. He’s not a star right now and might not be one going forward, but he’s shown enough offensively and defensively that he can be penciled in as a fine enough No. 5 or No. 6 hitter for a couple of years.

Adell knocked a base hit in the first inning, then led off the seventh with a solo homer off Hunter Greene. He did it again in the eighth, taking Luis Mey deep for his second solo blast, his 28th of the season. The 26-year-old outfielder is hitting .233/.295/.482 with the 28 homers, 49 runs scored, and 78 RBI across 446 plate appearances.

Adell got the scoring started in the game with a monstrous 395-foot (115.3 mph EV) three-run blast off of Jeffrey Springs in the opening inning. The 26-year-old slugger then doubled in the fifth inning and scored on Christian Moore’s two-run single. He also delivered a go-ahead RBI single in the 10th inning that sparked a six-run rally. Adell has been a solid source of run production for the Halos this season, slashing .228/.291/.466 with 26 homers, 76 RBI and three stolen bases in 438 plate appearances.

Adell’s only hit of the day left the park as he took Charlie Morton deep for a three-run blast in the fourth inning. It was the 25th home run of the season for Adell. The 26-year-old outfielder has now gone yard in four of his last five games. He’s slashing .232/.299/.477 with 70 RBI across 410 plate appearances.

Adell put the Angels on the board with base hit in the first inning to bring home two runs. Though, he’d only be credited with one RBI as one run scored on a throwing error. He later led off the fourth with a triple and scored on a fly out. Adell reached again on a walk in the sixth and scored a second run. The 26-year-old outfielder is hitting .237/.307/.470 with 21 homers, 40 runs scored, and 61 RBI across 375 plate appearances.

Adell’s home run was No. 19 on the season for him. The 26-year-old outfielder hit a game-tying three-run home run off Nick Sandlin in the seventh inning. After hitting six home runs in his first 49 games this year, he’s hit 13 home runs in his last 31 games. Adell’s hitting .254 with an .836 OPS and 50 RBI on the year.

Adell plated the game’s first run with an RBI single off of Bryce Elder in the top half of the first inning. He would add another couple of singles before the night was through, but the Halos were never able to cash him in. The 26-year-old outfielder continues to sizzle at the dish, slashing .250/.322/.496 with 18 homers, 47 RBI and three swipes on the season.

Adell roped a two-out single in the first inning off rookie Didier Fuentes that gave his Angels a lead they held until the sixth. In that at-bat, Adell fell behind 1-2 and the old Adell may have chased one of the sweeper Fuentes left wide to end that threat. Instead, he laid off them and waited for the fastball he eventually smoked. Apart from that hit, he had two more hard-hit balls throughout this game and continues to mash in what finally feels like a breakout season.

The Angels finally broke through and snapped a scoreless tie as Mike Trout and Jo Adell smacked doubles off of Dylan Lee in the eighth inning. Adell then came around to score on Jorge Soler’s two-run double. The 26-year-old outfielder also walked and struck out twice in the ballgame, finishing the night 1-for-4. He has been sizzling at the plate over the past month and is now slashing .243/.318/.498 with 18 homers, 44 RBI and three stolen bases on the season.

Adell now has 18 homers on the season, which is two short of his career-high total he posted in the 2024 season. The former top prospect has also registered a career-best .806 OPS over 74 games. And it’s nice to see him coming close — somewhat, anyway — to the bat that was so intriguing as a prep and in the minors. He’s flawed, but at the age of 26, it’s fair to say we haven’t seen the best of Adell just yet.

Adell has hit in eight straight games, though he had exactly one hit in each of the first seven of those. Of his 17 homers, 11 have come in his last 24 games. The Angels seem to be taking some notice, too; Adell batted fifth today after hitting no higher than sixth previously this year.

Adell got to Ryan Yarbrough in the fifth inning for his 14th home run of the season. It was a 112.9 mph shot that traveled 436 feet. Over his last 30 games, Adell is hitting .244/.352/.533 with eight home runs, 16 RBI, and two steals. He also has just 22 strikeouts in those 30 games, which is a big improvement for him. His batting average may never be high, but the power will be a huge asset if he can keep his strikeouts in check. Adell deserves to be added in most formats while he’s hitting well right now.

Adell’s homer came off Osvaldo Bido, the third pitcher in the frame after starter JP Sears was lifted and Grant Holman failed to retire any of the three batters he faced. Adell was losing playing time before Mike Trout returned and seemed to be very much in danger of falling out of the Angels’ plans, but he’s timed this hot streak very well; he’s hitting .333 with seven homers in 55 plate appearances over his last 15 games.

Adell absolutely hammered a pair of Luis Castillo offerings for his second multi-homer game of the week. The 26-year-old also reached via hit-by-pitch and a walk, and he drove in his third run with an RBI single in the seventh. Adell still exudes talent, and while it’s doubtful he ever puts it all together based on his track record, it’s not out of the realm of possibilities.
