Arozarena always seems to find some extra motivation when he faces his former organizations. The 30-year-old fantasy stalwart has already established a new career-high in the home run department and is on pace to eclipse the career-best 32 thefts he posted back in 2022 when he was with Tampa Bay.

Arozarena was also hit by a pitch in the third inning and raced around to score on a two-run double by Josh Naylor. For the season, he’s now hitting .240/.340/.446 with 24 homers, 61 RBI and 24 stolen bases on the season.

The dynamic 30-year-old outfielder opened the scoring in the ballgame with a 380-foot (107.9 mph EV) two-run blast off of Shane Smith in the third inning. The long ball was his 23rd of the season, matching his career-high (2023). He then started the 10th inning as the extra runner and scored on an error as the White Sox threw away a bunt attempt from Miles Mastrobuoni. Arozarena continues to be a major fantasy asset in power and speed, contributing 20 or more homers and 20 or more stolen bases in each of the last five seasons. Arozarena came up huge with a two-run homer off Robert Garcia in the 10th inning that tied the game at 4-4. It wasn’t enough for Seattle to get the win, but it was enough to give the outfielder his 22nd homer and up his RBI total to 57.

Arozarena got every inch of a Tyler Anderson offering to give the Mariners a 2-1 lead and Arozarena his 20th homer of the season. He’s reached that mark in five-straight seasons, and it seems like a foregone conclusion that he’ll break his career-high of 23 homers before the 2025 campaign comes to a close.

Arozarena socked a two-run bomb off Yusei Kikuchi to give Seattle a 3-1 lead. It was his ninth homer of July, and brings his total to 19 homers in 2025. There’s going to be some regression based on Arozarena’s career path, but when Arozarena is at his best, he’s capable of special things. Just look at the last month for proof.

This is getting crazy. That’s the 10th homer for Arozarena over his last 14 games, and it brings his total to 18 on the season. The outfielder has been streaky through the entirety of his career, but this is the best we’ve seen since his postseason heroics in the earlier portion of the decade. The question, of course, is just how much regression is coming for Arozarena over the last few weeks/months.

The Mariners weren’t able to get anything going against Pirates’ ace Paul Skenes in this one, but Arozarena made them pay as soon as Skenes exited the ballgame. He hammered a 2-0 fastball from Carmen Mlodzinski for a 399-foot (110.2 mph EV) solo shot that proved to be the difference in the ballgame. The 30-year-old outfielder has been sizzling at the plate with six long balls over his past seven games. After a major power lull for the majority of June, Randy is “on one” as the kids to say. He homered for the third-straight game to bring his total to 12 on the season, and then drove in another run on a sac fly. Arozarena isn’t the superstar he looked like he could have been five years ago, but he’s a solid player who provides solid pop and speed. And when he’s at his best? There aren’t many better.

Arozarena had just one homer in June coming into Monday’s game, and he decided enough was enough. He hit both roundtrippers off Michael Wacha; a solo homer and then a three-run blast to bring his season total to 10. He’s not been a major contributor in the average category at .244, but 10 homers, 16 stolen bases and 37 RBI have made him relevant in most leagues over the first three months.

Arozarena is back at DH and batting cleanup on Tuesday night at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento following a one-game absence due to a minor right hamstring issue. Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on his status in the coming days, but it’s undoubtedly a positive that he’s back in Seattle’s lineup without requiring an extended break.

Arozarena told reporters he expects to return to Tuesday’s lineup after leaving Sunday’s series finale against the Rangers with a minor right hamstring issue. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward, but hamstring’s can be tricky matters. It’s a situation fantasy managers should continue to monitor closely. It’ll be Miles Mastrobuoni taking over in left field with rookie Rhylan Thomas getting into the lineup in the opposite corner.

Mariners’ manager Dan Wilson told reporters after the game that Arozarena had “a little bit of a hamstring thing... but nothing serious”. It doesn’t sound like it’s anything that should require an extended absence, but be sure to monitor his status on Monday just to be on the safe side.

Arozarena also drew a pair of walks. The homer turned a 7-6 lead for the Reds into a brand new ball game, and his two-run single extended Seattle’s lead to 10-7 an inning later. While Arozarena’s .212 average leaves a bit to be desired, his .381 on-base clip and .485 slugging mark play just fine. Expect to see that average climb a bit as well as the season gets deeper.
