Acuña started the Braves’ half of the first inning with a double to left field on the first pitch of the at-bat, though he was stranded on the bases. In the third inning, he doubled again, this time knocking in Mike Yastrzemski and scoring on a sacrifice fly by Matt Olson. Acuña is hitting .248 with 15 runs, two home runs, nine RBI and six stolen bases this year.

Acuña hit a 420-foot shot off Andrew Painter in the bottom of the third inning to tie the game at 2-2. It’s just the second homer of the season for Acuña, who has struggled to find his power in the early part of this season. The righty has just two extra-base hits in his last nine games and just one multi-hit game over that span. Hopefully, this latest homer is the spark he needs to get on track after his slow start.

Acuña was removed from Monday’s game after being hit by two pitches, but the 28-year-old received a clean MRI, and he’s ready to roll for Tuesday’s tilt. Crisis averted.

Acuña underwent imaging out of an abundance of caution after being drilled on the left hand during the sixth inning of Monday’s showdown against the Nationals. The 28-year-old fantasy superstar was hit by pitches twice during the contest and finished 0-for-1 with a run scored prior to exiting. It’s possible he’ll need some time off to rest and recover but the encouraging development here for Atlanta, and fantasy managers, is that Acuña appears to have avoided serious injury.

Acuña was replaced in right field by Eli White during the sixth inning of Monday’s showdown after being hit by a pitch on two separate occasions earlier in the contest. He was drilled by Nationals starter Jake Irwin in the fourth inning before being thrown out attempting to steal second base. He was nailed again his next time up in the sixth inning, this time on the left hand, but managed to remain in the contest initially. His early departure appears to be precautionary in nature. There should be an update on his status soon.

It took longer than we would have expected, but Acuña finally has his first homer of the 2026 campaign. The right fielder plated the first run of the day for the Braves in the third inning when his RBI single drove home Dominic Smith, while his sixth-inning homer gave the Braves their second run of the game and tied things at 2-2. Acuña got off to a brutal start this season, entering the day slashing .204/.310/.265 on the year. He’s now hit safely in three-straight games and has hit .267 over his last seven. Hopefully this is the turn around we have been waiting for from Braves’ leadoff man.

Acuña picked up his first steal of the season, but was also caught for the only negative to the contest. The 28-year-old scuffled in the series against Kansas City, but those two hits along with two free passes improves his slash to .214/.353/.286 over the first four contests.

The 28-year-old superstar wasted no time in this one, crushing the second pitch thrown by Yoshinobu Yamamoto for a 401-foot (106.2 mph EV) solo shot to give Venezuela an early advantage. That would be his only hit in five at-bats on the night, including three strikeouts, but it set the tone for the eventual comeback victory.

Acuna was most of the offense today, as the rest of the lineup was limited to two hits. Venezuela already clinched a quarterfinal spot earlier in the day when the Dominican Republic eliminated Israel. Those two teams, though, still have to play Wednesday, and the winner will have the big advantage of facing Korea in the final eight, while the loser will face Japan.

Acuña swiped second and third after collecting a single off Brayan Bello in the first. He typically saves his steals for the regular season — he was 1-for-1 stealing bases in 2023 and 0-for-1 in 2024 before missing last spring in his ACL recovery — so it was fun seeing him be aggressive today. Acuña is 3-for-11 this spring.

Weiss wouldn’t divulge his entire lineup yet, though he did note that Drake Baldwin could be a candidate to bat second, as he wasn’t concerned about batting two left-handed hitters back-to-back in him and Olson. Once spring training really gets rolling and we see him put some lineups in play, we’ll get a better sense of how the Braves will operate.

Acuña now has 10 steals in 12 games in Venezuela, exceeding his total of nine in 95 major league games following his return from a torn ACL last season. That seems like a very good sign for his fantasy value.

Acuña has led off in 84% of his career starts, but Brian Snitker had him hitting third for much of last year and even dropped him as low as seventh while he was slumping in September. We’re guessing he’ll go back into the leadoff spot under Weiss, but if not, he would likely bat third behind Jurickson Profar and Matt Olson. Acuña is currently playing winter ball in Venezuela and has gone 9-for-29 with two homers and six steals in eight games.

Acuña cut back on his running after returning from a torn ACL last season, finishing with nine steals in 95 games for the Braves, but he’s swiped six bags in just three games for the Tiburones. That seems like a big deal for his 2026 fantasy value, though running so much might make it more likely that he gets hurt again.

Acuña obviously couldn’t play for his hometown team last winter because he was recovering from an ACL tear, but this will be his third stint with La Guaira in the last four years. He hit .398/.524/.717 over 31 games in the first two.

Acuña made plenty of noise this past season in his return from another major knee injury, slashing .290/.417/.518 with 21 homers and nine steals over 95 games after rejoining Atlanta in late May from a torn ACL. The dynamic 27-year-old power/speed threat has now undergone two ACL surgeries in his career, yet his elite athleticism and production remain intact. He projects as a first-round pick in all fantasy drafts next spring.

Acuña absolutely devoured a first-inning offering from Johan Oviedo; one that traveled an estimated 451 feet to center. The 27-year-old also drew a walk to give him a slash of .290/.417/.518. His season started late because of his ACL injury, but Acuña played well when he was able to give it a go. He’ll have a full offseason to get healthy ahead of his age-28 season, and hopefully we’ll get optimistic reports about him running to restore some of his stolen base upside.

Acuña Jr. was hitting .198 in his first 30 games after the All-Star break and struggling to hit with the kind of power we had seen from him earlier in the season. Starting in the middle of September, he opened up his stance a little more, moving his front foot closer to third base before loading. It’s unclear if that’s the main reason for his success, but he has been on fire since September 9th, hitting .353/.492/.667 in 14 games with five home runs, 14 runs scored, eight RBI, and two steals.

The 27-year-old superstar ambushed a first-pitch slider from Brad Lord in the sixth inning, crushing a go-ahead, 433-foot (111.3 mph EV) solo shot that gave the Braves a 2-1 advantage they’d never relinquish. Acuña also struck out twice in the ballgame. For the season, he’s slashing .285/.414/.514 with 20 long balls, 40 RBI and eight stolen bases in 394 plate appearances.

Acuña has caught fire down the home stretch following a prolonged slump coming out of the All-Star break, homering four times in his last 11 games. The 27-year-old generational talent took Nationals lefty MacKenzie Gore deep in the opening frame and wound up reaching base safely in four of his six plate appearances in the one-sided affair. He’s looked like a fantasy superstar again of late, batting an absurd .346 (18-for-52) with four homers, 13 RBI and two steals over his last 15 games.

The 27-year-old superstar drew a walk in the opening inning and scored on a two-run single off the bat of Ozzie Albies. He then broke the game wide open with a 386-foot (104.8 mph EV) two-run blast off of Charlie Morton in the second inning that extended the Braves’ lead to 6-0. He’s enjoying another terrific all-around season at the plate, slashing .284/.406/.503 with 18 long balls, 36 RBI and seven stolen bases in 374 plate appearances on the year.

Acuña’s homer gives him 17 on the season. It’s of course worth pointing out that total is affected by him missing close to two months to begin the season, but also by mostly ineffective play since the start of August. The 27-year-old is still hitting .275/.395/.495, which tells you how incredible he was prior to that funk.

Acuña was moved back up to the heart of Atlanta’s lineup earlier this week after an extended slump at the outset of September. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar slugged his 16th round-tripper of the season during Friday’s series opener and appears to be getting back on track.

Acuña was dropped lower than the cleanup spot for the first time since the 2018 season earlier this weekend and appears poised to continue batting in the lower third of Atlanta’s lineup for now. The 27-year-old is just 1-for-25 over his last seven games and is batting .198 (21-for-106) with three homers and two steals in 30 games since the All-Star break.

It’s the first time since July 14, 2018 that Acuña has batted lower than fourth in Atlanta’s lineup. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar has been scuffling at the plate since the All-Star break, batting .202 (21-for-104) with just three homers, nine RBI and two steals over 29 games. It feels like only a matter of time before he gets back on track, but Atlanta is going to put less pressure on him for now.

Acuña has gone hitless in his last five games, and the Braves, who tend not to rest their regulars often, decided he needed a second day after the off day Thursday. Jake Fraley is playing right field tonight. Ozzie Albies is hitting third.

The 27-year-old superstar singled off of right-hander Sandy Alcantara in the top half of the first inning and deftly swiped second base before being stranded at third. He then worked a bases-loaded walk to bring in a run in the ninth inning and rode home on Ozzie Albies’ three-run blast. He has been outstanding since his return from the injured list, slashing .303/.420/.542 with 15 homers, 31 RBI, 55 runs scored and six stolen bases through his first 66 games on the season.

Acuña went 0-for-3 with a walk on Friday in his return from the injured list following a two-week absence due to a right calf strain. Fantasy managers should brace for the possibility that Atlanta exercises extreme caution with their franchise cornerstone’s workload over the final six weeks, especially since they’re out of postseason contention. He’s a field-tilting talent when he’s 100 percent healthy.

Acuña missed almost exactly two weeks with his right calf strain, which was initially diagnosed as an Achilles injury. The 27-year-old offers enormous fantasy upside, but it’s fair to wonder if Atlanta will take more precautions with the outfielder with the team not in playoff contention. Still, fantasy managers should be thrilled to see him back.

Friday’s series opener in Cleveland might be the plan here. Eli White should head back to the bench when Acuña is activated.
