Bohm has struggled to start the season, slashing .153/.227/.220 with one home run and 10 RBI in 66 plate appearances. What’s more, he is one of five qualified hitters who have not pulled a single ball in the air this season. He’s making plenty of contact, but he’s going to need to make a change to the type of contact he’s making if he’s going to be on fantasy radars.

Bohm has struggled to begin the year even with a two-RBI evening against the Cubs on Monday, and he’ll get a break with Edmundo Sosa getting the start at the hot corner.

Bohm has gotten off to a rough start and will drop even lower in Philadelphia’s lineup after hitting eighth on Friday night. The 29-year-old infielder is batting .170 (8-for-47) with one homer and eight RBI through 12 games.

Bohm had Tuesday off for groin tightness in San Francisco, but otherwise has batted cleanup in every appearance this season. The Phillies were shut out during their last two games in the Bay Area and Bohm is hitting just .186/.271/.279 on the season. Being lowered in the lineup would not help his fantasy value, so hopefully this is just a blip. Brandon Marsh is instead hitting cleanup for the Phillies today.

Thomson added that Bohm finished Monday’s series opener with the issue and is getting some extra time off to rest and recover. He expressed optimism that Bohm would be ready for Wednesday afternoon’s series finale at Oracle Park. It sounds like a relatively minor issues. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day.

Bohm’s homer off Nathan Eovaldi was only 97 mph off the bat, but it was hit just far enough to get over the wall down the right field line. He’s already off to a much better start than last year, when he didn’t homer until his 33rd game of the season on May 6. He also already has as many three-run homers as he did last year.

He hit a 380-foot home run off Cade Povich that left the bat at 150.3 mph, and then followed that up with a 370-foot shot at 98.1 mph off Tyler Wells. Bohm has been enjoying a strong spring and remains an undervalued fantasy option who will help your batting average and counting stats while hitting in a strong lineup.

Bohm hit a 424-foot bomb off CJ Van Eyk’s cutter. He’s not exciting, of course, but Bohm should have plenty of RBI opportunities behind Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, and Trea Turner. That and a reasonable batting average should keep him as a top-12 option at the keystone this season.

It didn’t work out so well last year, but if Bohm gets his power numbers back to where they were in 2023 and ’24, he has a chance to drive in over 100 runs as the Phillies’ cleanup hitter. He offers nice value for someone lasting pretty deep into drafts.

Thomson didn’t say what order the top three guys would bat in, but that’s the order they finished last year in and there wouldn’t seem to be much reason to make a change. The Phillies have tended to rotate cleanup hitters based on whichever right-handed hitter has the hot hand, and that shouldn’t change. One imagines Adolis García will hit sixth initially, unless he can overtake Bohm this spring. Brandon Marsh will probably hit fifth against righties.

Bohm fittingly gets a smaller raise this time after going from $4 million in his first year of arbitration in 2024 to $7.7 million last year. He hit .277/.331/.409 last season, a drop of 40 points of OPS from 2024. More importantly in arbitration, though, is that his RBI count went from 97 in 143 games in 2024 to 59 in 120 games last season. He’s been considered a trade candidate in his final year before free agency, but the Phillies will probably hold on to him unless they think they can upgrade.

As a team, the Phillies mustered just seven hits in the ballgame — all of them singles — and Bohm was the only player on the squad to tally more than one. He’s having a solid overall season at the plate despite his lack of power, slashing .287/.332/.411 with 11 homers, 59 RBI and a pair of stolen bases.

The Phillies scratched out a run in the opening inning as Harrison Bader led off with a single, advanced to third on a single by Bryce Harper and scored on Bohm’s RBI ground out. That would be all of the run support that Walker Buehler and company would require in this one. Bohm also singled in the eighth inning. On the season, the 29-year-old is now hitting .285/.331/.410 with 11 homers, 58 RBI and a pair of stolen bases in 491 plate appearances.

Bohm finally seems healthy since coming off the IL with a shoulder injury following an earlier rib injury. The third baseman finally feels healthy and feels as though he isn’t cutting off his swing anymore. “He’s on everything,” said Thomson. “Maybe that healthy shoulder is what we’re looking for.” Bohm moving up in the order could mean J.T. Realmuto, who has slowed of late, would move down.

Bohm smacked a leadoff double off of Eduardo Rodriguez in the second inning but never advanced past second base. He then singled in the eighth inning and scored as Weston Wilson drew a bases-loaded walk. With his three-hit attack, the 29-year-old infielder is now hitting .280/.327/.401 with 10 homers and 55 RBI in his 477 plate appearances.

Bohm’s 412-foot shot off Zac Gallen was the only homer of the game. He’s 4-for-9 with four RBI the last two days, making him look like a nice option for the final week of the season.

Bohm had been shelved since the first week of September due to inflammation in his left shoulder. Prior to landing on the injured list, the 29-year-old slugger was hitting .272/.319/.384 with just nine homers and 51 RBI over 464 plate appearances. Rafael Lantigua was optioned back to Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move on Friday.

It’ll be rookie Otto Kemp taking over as Philadelphia’s primary third baseman down the home stretch. Bohm figures to make it back before the regular season wraps up, but that isn’t a lock at this juncture. There should be a more definitive update concerning his return timeline at some point in the coming days.

Expectations are that Trea Turner will join him there, but that’s not confirmed yet. Otto Kemp will likely be the Phillies’ primary third baseman for now.

Bohm smacked a Tobias Myers offering into the right field corner, just out of the reach of the outstretched glove of a diving Issac Collins. He then scored on a two-out RBI single off the bat of Trea Turner, tallying the game’s first run. Bohm finished the day 1-for-4 and is now hitting .275/.322/.391 with nine homers, 51 RBI and two swipes on the season.

Brandon Marsh, Harrison Bader and Max Kepler are all batting ahead of him today. Bohm hit in 11 straight games, posting a .349/.404/.488 line, after coming off the IL last month, but he’s now gone hitless in four straight contests. That’s enough to get him dropped, apparently.

Bohm was back off the IL and immediately in the cleanup spot for the Phillies. He took a second inning pitch from Mitchell Parker and hit it 395 feet at 107.2 mph off the bat for his ninth home run of the season. He’s now up to 45 RBI and a .280/.327/.401 slash line on the season. It’s more of the profile of a corner infield target, but he’s a good batting average asset if that’s what your team needs.

Bohm is back at third base and batting cleanup for Sunday’s series finale against the Nationals following a nearly one-month absence recovering from a fractured left rib. The 29-year-old third baseman has struggled this season to a pedestrian .715 OPS with eight homers and two steals through 92 games.

Bohm, out since July 19 with a fractured rib, homered Wednesday and hit the ball hard in three of his five at-bats last night. He should be ready to return from the injured list this weekend.

Bohm went on the injured list back on July 19 with a fractured left rib, so it’s nice to see him already back in games less than a month later. He didn’t play the field during this game, so the Phillies will likely want to see that he can play the field on back-to-back days before activating him.

It’s unclear just how many at-bats Bohm will need before he’s ready to rejoin the Phillies’ lineup. He has been shelved since July 19 due to a fractured left rib. His return will certainly impact the playing time for both Otto Kemp and Edmundo Sosa.
